    bumper swap 89 325ic Donar-90 325i

    well...
i bought a parts car (1990 325i) and its bumpers are purrrfect.. I really want to keep this car drivable though...it has ZERO rust..and i also really want to race (maybe with this).

so, can i easily swap out my diving boards on my cabrio, and use the plastics...
and if so.is it really easy :?:
is there a link or page or similar to visually show me how...(im no noob on wrenching, but also not much experience on this, so i need help)..

    thanks

Nice old skool Fittipaldi's. List those over on www.vwvortex.com they might sell pretty good for the older Scirocco I guys.

you recognize those wheels aya...kudhos to you SchnellerVert...i say..WOW.

they are really pitted though (from sitting in a field i guess)...
i was going to set them up w/studded tires for the winter...but what do i do w/that 90-shell...it will be really ugly on blocks and not even rolling anymore..

anyways..i think im just going to unbolt that front bumper tomarrow and bring it to a friends house to match up his (b/c the front end is completely removed for parts...

remove the gas tank and take it to a scrap yard(if you have the title), after youve parted it out first :)

okay, i'm confused. You bought a track car, but you want to take the bumpers off it and put them on your cabrio? Why? That is a nice looking shell! Keep it intact and drop in a M50 and call it good.

My thoughts exactly, I would offer it to a spec e30 guy. Edit: better yet where are you? parts on the hoof right there.

I DID buy the car just for those bumpers..
ive been searching, and this is the 1st time ive seen a blown motor parts car..*(i just happened to be the 1st guy to look at it..bought it right away)

i do know a person who races pro3 and i would like to see him get the frame...(he has tons of parts, but this car of mine has no-rust anywhere,l so its an afterthought that i can make it a spece30 or a proe30 or a rally (who has more ideas))..plus he rolled his last car...so i really gotta talk to him..

anyways..ive been searching for those bumpers for years (both in good conditon) and after i found this car (350bucks) i noticed how nice it is..

that is the reason im having doubts..(so im sorta changing my own mind to swap em..)

anyways.if you guys need any stock parts lemme know..
