    Another PNW noob

Greeting from the historic Willamette area of West Linn.
I work in a shop that restores old British autos.
    The current stable is
87 325i - Just put a refreshed motor in and am currently working on the suspension. (both the front and the rear are out. This is to be a track car.
85 3181 - bought for $ 200. Not sure what do with it at this time, but I couldn't pass up a 200 dollar car. Currently sitting behind my shop collecting pine needles.
The wife owns a 96 328is which has about 160 track days on it
98 Frontier DD, 06 TSX DD

I have a 24x36 home shop with a lift, compressor, tools, heat, etc. If I ever get my car off the lift, maybe I can host a mini tech session or just run cars on and off for oil changes or brakes or whatever.

    Happy motoring

    Hi Keith, Welcome to R3V!

Man, we is getting so many R3V'ers in PDX I am thinking about moving back north! Sounds like you have a great setup there. Are you gonna run Pro3 with the track car?

Welcome to r3v man, you'll quickly learn there is a rather large group of us PNW'ers running around. There are atleast 5 r3v members in portland alone. If you ever need a hand, feel free to PM me. Im usually down to work on others cars, esp if you got a lift. I dont even have a garage lol....

            Thanks for the welcome.

Luke - I'm planning on running just DE's this year,(2007), with plans for racing in '08. Not sure about PRO-3, I may be too light for that, so maybe EiP of ITE. Another thought is to set it up to run the two eight hour endruo races.

Tom - Thanks for the offer. I could of used someone with nimble hands a time or two.

I don't really have any pictures of the car while it was running. I'll go out tonight and take a shot of it.

              Hey Keith,
Good to see you are getting the e30 running. I think my first track event will be the Team Continental day in Feb. Is your car going to be done by then?

What suspension you putting in? I just put in some AKG subframe bushings and am in the process of adding the IE 25/22 sway bars.

To everyone else: Lets get some more e30s out on the track!

                Hi Mark.
GC springs, Koni adjustable shocks/springs and camber plates. Power-Flex control arm bushings, everything else is oem. Porterfield R4's, RA1's, and a couple hundred pounds of weight reduction. Not as fast as Jen's car but it should be fun.
I hope to drive the car before the end of the year and take it to the track as soon as I can. I have a free weekend at Spokane (froze while working corners but it is worth it) and would also like to make it up to PR.

                Keith

Do what I did with my $250 car. Put an M30 in it :)

Curt, Josh and Ken; thanks for the welcome.

I should note that I will run a fairly stock set up for a year to get adjusted to the car (been sharing my wives well set up e36 for the last couple of years). Just DE's and lots of DD'ing for now. When I set the car up for racing, I'll have to re-do most of the suspension.

Hey Curt - if you want to have a beer and bs about cars PM me. Same goes to any other PNW'ers. I have a spare stall if anyone needs it, the lift will be free in a couple of weeks.

                          Keith
