on the later model 325i, which came standard...open or lsd diffs?

Open. LSD was an option though and it might have it. Just gotta check on the tag.

There will be an S on it if is an LSD. I believe is would read S4.10, but I could be wrong (4.10S in that case). Either way there will be an S if it an LSD.sigpicComment

The LSD tags will have a S stamped before the ratio numbers begin .
Like this :
There will also be a white stenciled S painted on the bottom side and on the top side of the diff .
This can sometimes be hard to spot and once you pressure wash the diff it can easily be removed .
