    Seriously off topic, but

There seems to be a fair number of compute/internetr savvy individuals here.
    So here it goes.

How the F*&K do I get rid of this "shopnav" thing that comes up when I mis-type a URL or a site cannot be found. It is really starting to piss me off. I appreciate any feedback

Does it bring it up instead of a search page? If so then you can change not to use a search page in IE.

Get Spybot S&D (above) or Adaware (http://www.lavasoft.de). Both are free.

Get BOTH of them. Spy-Bot will eliminate a lot of things that Ad-Aware doesn't catch.

when SP2 of Windows XP comes out, it will contain an update to IE that will allow you to select/unselect those annoying little modules that hook into it.
