It may have been posted here before. I know something along those lines came up on the megasquirt forum when people tried to make their own HUD. That system, or something similar was brought up and some said that they knew of people who had a HUD display and removed it shortly thereafter because it was an annoyance. YMMV of course. I wouldnt bother with one myself though.

I have always wanted a HUD, just for the speedo though, and maybe the track that is playing, mainly I just want to be able to flip through my music quick without taking my eyes off the road. Especially with an ipod (or my zune) its really easy to stop paying attention for a long period of time.

I have my G-Tech mounted low on my windshield, just to the right of the steering lump and often wish it was an HUD instead. That first unit looks great, actually, it would give me more usable information than the G-Tech (while driving at least) and I think you could mount it very nicely in an e30. How much do they run? I didn't see that on the website but then again I just skimmed it so I may have missed the pricing...
