    CNC Milling, who does it?

I need to get some 20mm spacers milled down about 5mm, who does it and how much $$ am I looking at to have it done? Links, phone numbers, anything is appreciated.

I actually have a machinist who happens to do this. Keep in touch, and I'll ask him what the cost is.

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
        Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

Ship them to me with a return shipping label.

          I'll do them for $.02

You laugh, I thought about contacting OCC to see if they would do it but I'm sure there are other places that have CNC machines to do this. I'm sure I could take them to the local NAPA and have them turned, but I want them done right.

Any machine shop can do that for you for something that simple it's a waste of time to write the CNC code and run them, just a regular manual mill will take that off easy

I don't know much about "turning" stuff, but I know that it has to be precise when it concerns spacers like this, balance is critical. You think it would be fine to do "normally"?

A place just down the road from me in VA does it. Kinda far away though for you.

You don't need a CNC machine to turn 5mm off of your spacers. I'm assuming that they are hubcentric, right?

Take them to any competent machine shop and they can chuck them up in the manual lathe and do all four in less than 1/2 hour, with a tolerance of +/- 5 thou, which should be fine. Expect to pay a minimum of $50.

And yes, I do CNC milling, and have machined custom spacers for my car on the mill. I just wouldn't bother for your application.

                          Good luck.
