    YES! passed smog check!

so a 217k mile stock cat 325is passed the smog check today, hazzah!

All I did to this since I bought it was run a can of seafoam down the brake booster hose, change the plugs to NGK coppers, new distributor cap, rotor, coil, fixed a hole in the down pipe, and changed the oil.

The gas tank is still 3/4 full from when I put guaranteed to pass in their and topped it off. Just got it nice and hot for the test, 20 min drive there and went WOT quite a few times, then never turned it off, the tech put it on the rollers and ran it at 3500rpm's for about 2 mins. After that he immediately put the test pipe in the muffler and turned the fan on in front of the engine. It was cool out, about 55 degree's and the engine was hot.

keep in mind I bought this car with the cat sitting in the back seat.

its such a good feeling when you pass smog. especially in california where the san francisco tree fuckers keep the standard so unnecessarily high.

Does anybody give a shit about other people passing smog? I don't and I don't think you're cool because you don't have testing in your area either.

Or just don't be a cheap R3v kiddie and instead properly maintain your car, and it will continue to pass smog forever, even in California.

                        Good job :)

                        I didn't pass yesterday

I thought WTF, I'll install a cat and pass anyway (my car does not have a cat from the factory).

Looks like your car is running very clean.

I have half the mileage on my car and I'm going to go thru my records and see how my numbers compare.

I might have to try the Seafoam thing as well.
