    Newbie with project

Hey, I'm from Scotland and recently got an unfinished E30 project. It's a 1989 E30 316i with a 2.5 m20 transplant (I think), M-tec 2 kit and 15" BBS alloys. Hoping to do a lot more mods to the car in the near future but have to concentrate on getting it on the road first. What do you think??

Nice - lucky, to get an MTec2 in the deal.

Is that your battery in the engine bay, marked Varta? Mine is in the trunk... ?

Yeah that's the battery in the engine bay. I think the older ones had the battery in the trunk or maybe it was American spec ones. M-tec kits are common and cheap as dirt here. It's a replica but it still looks good. The car is dirty and there is hardly any rust on it. The engine does need tidying up I will admit but it runs real smooth. I am going to paint it Diamant Schwartz black. Mods will hopefully include race cross cruiser interior(Rear cage, recliners, harnesses and so on), 17" alpina alloys, Powerflow exhaust and lots more.

by that do you mean eta. I pretty sure it's not an eta cause they never had etas here. The vacuum pipes are to do with a different elctric system used here, something like J-lectronic.

That looks exatcly like the old m20 here...... and our older m20s are the eta engines :P

The engine is rev happy and easily goes up to 6k rpm. We never had etas here so the engine can't be an eta. Someone showed me a pic of their euro m20 and it was exact.

hey man, you are here! glad to see you arround here..

I'm still waiting the Tach pic...so you say rev happy up to 6K RPm if that engine is a m20 with "i" injection system it should rev up to 6500RPM--- :P

guys, tell me if I'm wrong but if yall see the coil position, the Air filter box, all those vaccum hoses should be a ETA model or at least the 323i euro isn't it?
