e28s are awesome. That car has potential. To get it to pass inspection it will need a bumper though. I think the euro front end is cool, but it need a euro bumper too. $ right there. But with the suspension other mods on it makes it appealing. the m30 is a good motor, but hard to tell the history of that car. (also by seeing the -15C on the OBC who knows what kind of climate its been run in) I am going to clean up my mom's 528 this week and get some shots of it. They are excellent crusing cars, and my moms handles better than my car. (i need new shocks) But there is extensive front end work done to ours.

Yeah, cruising is what they are for. Of course I would throw in my 3.73LSD and give it a little better kick. I just dont really like the eta, haha. It has done me well, but I want something a little better. As long as no bad rust I will do it. Very PIMP.

Any one know how long the m30 engine will last?

With proper care.. forever. They are extreeeeeemely tough/long lasting engines.
The M30 also has plenty of "kick" as you put it, without any mods.

I LOVE my e28. Me and Jweb are going to get some pics of it when it comes home from its 1.5 month stay at the shop, tomorrow night. I say an e28, but not the one you posted first. Just keep your eyes open, you'll find a nice one for cheap if you look hard enough.

Also, the m30 is just as bulletproof, if not more, than the m20. Mine has ~210k without any rebuilds and it still goes STRONG. It hasnt given me any problems that werent provoked. My e30 as given me more trouble and we've only put ~50 miles on it

I am not going with the first one mentioned at all.

I had "TheyCallMeDale" check it out and he said it was not worth it, aka rust ball. Now I am still undecided what to do. Find another e28, or a newer e30. I am not sure.

Thats tough, every other week or so, I consider selling my jeep for an e28...This week I want to. Theyre great cars and the m30 really has a lot of balls for 182/214 hp/tq. My advice to you is go drive one and see what you think...theyre a bit, ok, a good bit, heavier than an e30 but they still handle extremely well with the right set up. Just drive one and see what you think.

Right now I am all over the place, just found this prime example of an e30 though:

                            HERE

Not to bad! But I think it is a little out of my range. Damn.

I need more money! Better start selling more stuff. Lots more.

Yeah I went and checked out the car today. It needs at least two fenders and all 4 doors replaced due to rust damage. The rear valence (the metal part of the body below the rear bumper) is completely rotted out with rust. The body pieces that are intaact have some surface rust and the hood is complete garbage. Youll need a full respray. Mechanically however the car seemed ok, there was a small exhaust leak but otherwise the motor felt strong.Tranny felt good although there was a serious amount of shifter slop showing the cars 259000 miles. I couldnt bring it to the redline though which seemed suspicious. Ran well from what I saw though. Interior was in great conditon too. Also one rim was seriously gouged and would need to be replaced, although the current one does hold air and balances.

On a side note, Id be interested in some pics of that 535i as well. Thanks
