    Quick responce needed-brakes

I am installing my e21 booster with the welded/shortened rod and the rod is still a half inch too long. I got some washers that fit nicely and put them on the 4 studs that go into the firewall where the nuts go. The nuts still go all the way through the studs, with about 2 threads out the back of the nut.

    Am I good with this?

Just thread another 1/2" using a thread cutting die, after you remove some material with a file or a die grinder. That way the booster won't let water in the cabin. My 2 cents anyway.

Will it provide boost? Ya. But something about that doesn't sit right with me. I know the booster nuts are tightened against the pedal bracket, which is a pretty thick piece of metal, so it's not like it's going to really adversely affect anything.

Over time your washers are going to corrode, or let the studs corrode, or something else could happen.

Are you doing an M50 swap or something?

No, my old booster was damaged so I got this one because I am going m50 later down the road. Thanks for the responces.
