Funny how Oregon is so close, yet the terrain/style of ride is soooo different. For me speed = long airtime. I tried a 15x board once. Only because my buddy took the bigger board and we were supposed to see if we could break the boards (worked for a snowboard manufacturer). Smallest I'll even think is 163 w/ aggresive sidecut. And ever since going Litigator I just can't imagine a smaller board, maybe a Emmagator. I'd try a Doughboy if I ever got to ride Alaska, but I would prolly come home in a bag in freight.

biggest board i've seen was about 200cm with a super aggresive side cut, out of no where i see this guy walking off with is with ski poles. as far as my board goes i ride a 156, I'm not hucking any backcountry powder so it suits my needs. where do you ride mostly?Comment

I ride a Burton Custom 162 which is pretty small given my size, but I dont have the cash for a multi board quiver, so I needed something that I could rip through moguls and short tight turn situations, as well as super stiff for balls to the wall carving.Back to my roots

Damn, you guys make me feel like I'm driving a tank!
2950lbs on the scale, WITHOUT me in it, and with a 1/4 tank of gas!!
Then again it's a 90 touring with ABS, A/C, sunroof, and a full sound system :D
And this weight is with the m20. God knows what it'll weigh once the m30 is in.This is your M20 on steroids:Comment

Baker if it's my choice, Stevens if we have new people/friends' wifes with us. Baker offload ramps are fun to watch, but you really don't want to send a S.O. down one, you'll catch an earful.
But if my choice, Baker. Specifically you'll find me hiking past the warming shack on Canyon and dropping in back there. Oi Valley/Rumble Gultch as well. Last run hikes on Hemishperes.
Fun fact - I hear I'm in a baker video, some small time production. '04 Litigator Blue/White/no stickers, black jacket/tan pants/black boots & gloves, sunglasses, no hat-crew cut dark hair.
The run was a hike off the quad chair. I am so old I haven't a clue who the riders were, but there were a lot of Burton & Lib boards.
I am so old I used to get chased around the neighborhood by Craig Kelly. Donelly, Swanson, Kelly, Clow - guys who made up the MBHC were all guys I knew. Been riding since Winter '86. Gives you an idea how old I am.
Anyhow - the real riders were doing frontflips, rodeos, and stuff I don't know the name of. At the top the guy asked my name and what I was going to do - gave him my name, and said I was too old to compete with the tricks these guys do, but roll film-I was going full steam. So they did. It was a 60' run to a 5' kicker that threw most guys 30' out and ~70' drop. I went full speed, grabbed toeside(goofy) nose, and by the time I landed I was at least 40'+ beyond where everyone else landed. It wasn't a flawless smooth landing, but I didn't biff either. If you see this on film the camera was on my backside, but I commited to the grab and was as extended as T Kidwell when he was a pro.
If anyone sees this video, PLEASE pm me or email me - I want a copy of this as it's one of my bigger claims to fame. 2 different times I've been told that I made this film.
I heard it was a Seattle based production firm. Video would have come out just in time for the 'o5/'o6 season. If you send me a copy of this DVD, I'll buy you an AutoArt M3 car of your choice - for real.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.Comment

Wow, my car weighs 2700 without me in it.
course, I haven't removed a thing - has all sound deadening, spare tire, all carpet, all original seats, full tank of gas...
my car is...kind of...my only car, and I will be driving it across the country twice next year, so I don't want a loud ride - it's already stiff! :D
That's light - sure would be fun with my stroked m20 at that weight!- Sean HayesComment

#2269
Mot's weight is possible since I electronic scale in at #2269 ('85 318i) with 1/2 tank and have only removed the rear seats and replaced the drivers seat with a race seat. Though I am corner weighted but still running an M10 with no A/C, so my guess is the scale was off by maybe #100. I own 3-'84/'85 318i's (all M10's) and they electronic scale at 2450 or less with all options and wet (Except for the race car as noted above).
