    Did this in HS physics class - but we jacked up the car - and set it down on the paper. The "footprint" we then used graph paper to very carefully measure the aera very closely ( basically counting the squares it filled, estimating the aera of partially filled squares) - came up very close to the weight in the manual on my e21.

    Force=pressure*aera
    very basic - and if you can get the aera close, the tire pressure close, you're good.
