steal on a clean 535i

yesterday I got a fairly clean 1985 535i 5 speed, bronzit, black interior, 200,000mi

the front seats are tan? and they are crap! otherwise the rest of the car is in very nice shape.
i got the car for $550, it runs, but the water pump seized and broke the belt. its had alot of work done resently and the po got tired of putting money into it.

ill drive the car for awhile then swap the m30 into my e30 :nice:

How does it run without a water pump?
The belt that snapped is the timing belt I assume?

yup
it runs fine... i just wouldnt want to drive it for more than a few minutes lol it would overheat severly

im puting the water pump in in the po's driveway tomorrow and then driving it home. (thats why i dont have pics yet) he is really gonna hate me when he finds out how easy it is to change, but then again he is not mechanically inclind.

for those of you who dont think i got the car for that cheap ill even take a picture of the bill of sale.
