How can I tell....................

Bought this 90 325i from an auction. How can I tell if my ECU is chipped? Will I able to tell if I pull ECU by visual?

You will have to open it up and see if the chip is marked. Ie: markD, turner, bavauto.

Make sure you discharge yourself of static elec. before opening the ecu up

Or you could floor it to redline and if it cuts out then its stock .
If it passes up the redline then it is chipped .
