    rebuilt engine

hi, i need to know how to rebuild my m10 engine. i am hoping someone here will be able to tell me. i am wanting to turbo in the next year. i will be rebuilding a second m10 i have. i need to know all the parts i need to replace and the ones that i can replace to be extra cautious. please give me a hand and list all parts that i will be needing to buy and the steps i need to take to rebuild. also if you know of any hints to get my N/A m10 to run the best it can and maybe get a little more pep from it please let me know as i will be using that one this summer.
thanks to anyone with the knowledge to help me.

Start off by sending the block/head to an engine shop to get it blasted/cleaned and checked for leaks/cracks maybe ?

They'll tell you what valves/bearings/seals you'll need ? I am kind of in the same boat but only have an extra head so far and plan on just making some phone calls to get an idea how much a head rebuild will cost and then go from there...

    Sorry, no help I know..

I would check out Top End Engineering to see what is possible and whats available for the M10 .

Also 2002 sites like bmw2002faq could provide usefull .

I would also get a repair manual for the torque values.

Here you'll find manuals with torque specs, detailed procedures and pictures of how to do things.

If you need them and they take too long to download, ask an I'll email you the engine manual.

I just did the head, replaced all gaskets and valve seals on my 316, besides using the wrong torque for the head (me dummy) everything went ok.

Take a picture of all the vacuum hoses before you dissasemble, They drove me crazy when i was putting them back on.
