    Help me estimate value...

    Looking at THIS CAR

Car actually has 174k, and some minor rust i guess on rear valence. Also you can see in pics a small dent right below back license plate. I am calling him tomorrow. His offer is kinda high, with 174k, but it does have some performance parts (which should not effect price to much). Think he would even consider an offer of $4k? I will get more info when I call him tomorrow, and no one think of stepping on this before I do! Hopefully he is motivated to sell, and will try to push it on me. ;)

And if I do buy it I may be selling the wheels to make some money back, anyone interested? I would be putting some weaves or bottlecaps on it. Dont hate me 4 that, I just want a late model 'i' now! :D

I'd offer em $3500 and work up. It looks nice, clean interior, uncracked dash.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Yeah, I would offer him something real low-ball! Throw him off his rocker. I would hope I could get it for 4k, but not sure.

And indeed it does look real clean!

Anyone want to run a CARFAX for me? ;)

You might want to check out just how 'minor' it is. The rear valence is part of the unibody.

ummm, the rear valence is part of the body. You're looking at a car with body rust.

Yes, I know. Hold on let me fetch his direct wording...

And yes, I know he saying some crap in there, aka 200hp. But it does not sound like rust is to bad. We will know tomorrow, and if I get serious I will find someone on here or a professional guy to look the car over for me.

            Thanks for thoughts so far!

Personally, I think he's full of shit, and while listing a car with 100,000 miles less than it really has, "accident" or not, I'm skeptical.

Take it to a bodyshop, and a mechanic, to see what they say.

Yeah, when he said it was a misprint I was like "Hmmmm... I think he is fibbing!". Good word choice there. When I talk to him tomorrow I will really see what he says. Interior and paint looks good, and if engine is as good as it is, I think it has some good potential. I will def have someone check it out for me before I even considering traveling down there. And no way will I buy it sight unseen.

One of the reasons I like it so much. Different than most cars. :D
