Running an idea in my head... Gauging interest

I know people are always asking about these things. So recently I have been thinking of buying some big sheets or something of the plastic they are made from and manufacturing a lot of them to sell. Not sure how hard it would be yet, but people are always asking for them and I figure I could make a killing! Anyone have any input on this? :?

i have all of mine off my car, pretty interesting and involving design of the brackets. maybe a simpeler version can be made, but might be tricky making a replica of the factory ones. i am thinking of doing the same thing.

I can make a mold easy enough and pour some liquid hot plastic! :P

I have not looked at mine yet, but wondering if I should do it to make a little extra money. Will look into it when I get some time. Just trying to see what people think.

Post 777, how lucky! Maybe this is a good idea!

It would be a better idea to make them out of metal. The original plastic ones sucked, I don't think people would want to buy ones made out of the same stuff.

          Just my 2 cents.

The original brackets are made out of a composite plastic. No ABS bracket will be nearly as strong.

They need to be made out of CNC Billet Aluminum to be worth a damn in the aftermarket.

You would need a 2 axis CNC mill to make them.

i think if u made some high quality ones that dont break from the smallest ammount of pressure then u would defintally make some money selling them on all the forums.

if they are strong and mount perfectally then im sure u will get many requests. (including me)

Hmmmm.... I will see what I can do. I have access to some machine shops and stuff, so they may be able to produce a few of them. I will have to see.
