    Let's just tell it like it is guys. The BMW is the daily and the Porsche is the weekend car. Every BMW owner either has or wants a 911 sitting in their garage.

      true. proving my point. Id love a 993 C4S or my dads '73 911S. I love the 70's and early 80's 911's.

        I just missed a deal on a white 85 911 for $7k. No shit, and it was in great shape. I drove a 944 as my DD for a while, so I do have a dog in this fight.

        I'll compare it this way:

        Driving the Porsche 944 was like hardcore unprotected sex with a long series of hot strangers....REALLY FUN, but you always had to worry about something before, during, and after.

        Likewise driving the e30 was like going home to Mama. You had a pretty realistic expectation of what you were getting yourself into, and it wasn't all that bad.
