    OT, but...

Should I buy a 1972 Jaguar XJ6 in pretty good condition for $900? It's brakes are shot and it needs an exhaust hack job done, but ...:drink:

so much work. It might be blasphemy for some true fans, but those cars have a plug and play sbc swap, making them mean machines. I don't know about the xj6, but I know a colleague that bought a car already with a ls1, then gave up on his jag after f*cking with crappy wiring, an odd fuel tank setup, and most of all inboard brakes that were a pain in the ass.

look at this page, I considered this for a long time, jag styling, and a reliable motor.

Wiring on Jags tends to be a serious nightmare... Theres a guy in town who puts Caddy Northstar V8s in them, but the rest of the car still sucks to work on. Have you ever seen the wiring in a Porsche 928? Its about that complicated, but it's like a blind amputee soldered all of the connections using his teeth...

Thanks for the input guys.....I guess I'll go back to looking at this BMW 635 or the M6 I'm looking at. I don't think $2250 is a bad price for a Euro 635 with the Dogleg 5spd. Early interior, though.

Thats a good price for a Euro 635CSi... Early interior isn't bad at all, it's cool! If you buy that car and you are interested in some Alpina suspension, PM me.

Would a British Amputee from the 70's have any teeth? Or at least enough of them in the right configuration to work a soldering iron?
