Out on the east coast I always see 20+ year old cars that managed to make it over here from places like New Mexico, California, Idaho, etc.. and some of them look as if they would barely make it to the supermarket and back. So I suggest that you pack the car with a hose repair kit, an alternator, drive belts, a water pump, a box of spark plugs, and some epoxy putty if you need to do an emergency radiator repair on the road. If you buy everything from one of those national parts chain stores, you would have no problem returning them once you get back to CA.
well he let me drive it, and i drove it easy... 2k no prob just crusing at 80.. it was nice.. i mean the only car i dont trust to make if from Texas to california is my Rotary, but my 240 could hang, and so could the tree18...
im scared for life and my tool box, jack and jackstands are almost always in one of my cars, not to mention all the military OZ special little tricks like BDAR kits and tow straps.
well have fun, let us know how it goes.
Thanks for the tips guys. I'm having second thoughts about going all the way out to CA, but will probably drive all over MT sightseeing. Same stuff, gotta get the car prepped regardless.
Damn Graham, I'll see about it. I'm thuper poor, and can't afford $150 since I just got a speeding ticket.
If it weren't for the ticket I'd be there.
