    Exhaust Knock Off?

Hey, first post. let me say a thank you to all the members on r3v, been lurking a while and this forum has helped a lot.

so i am in need of a new system (cat back) for my 86' 325. i found this on ebay:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...spagenameZWDVW

My question is 1, is this decent, 2, it looks a hell of a lot like The system from Ireland:

    https://secure1.nexternal.com/shared...t=products.asp

The descriptins match on both irelands site and the sellers, so what do you think?, if crap what should i go with in the sub 450$ range? thanks again.

edit: sorry ireland link not working well, click on it then goto intake/exhaust, and select the free flow cat back...

Exhausts never last as long as the rest of the car, so really, I'd go with the ebay exhaust only because I could never justify spending much on an exhaust, unless it was for something really classy (newer BMW, Porsche, etc). You could always spray paint the welds with some high heat rustoleum before you install it... That prolonged the life of the Ansa on my Alfa, but even at that, they still only last 5 or 6 years on a car that is driven regularly (in weather)... I'm sure other will have different experiences, but that's my input!

I agree with Euroshark on this one. If the pipes are the same size as the stock pipes and don't have any weird bends in it, it should be ok. The only thing is how the muffler flows/sounds.

Also, your exhaust has a single pipe and this is dual because it is made for the 325i model cars. This will work with a Y connector after the cat and maybe some small mods to the hangers.

      PS: Welcome to the forum.

You could also just get a 325i exhaust from the manifolds to the cat. Then you will have a full 2 pipe exhaust
