I'm impressed. I have to go look up the meaning of that one, and it isn't too often I have to do that.

Seriously though Bimmer2288, Congrats - I think that being willing to drop all you own and go serve gives your mind & soul the ability to concentrate on inner growth, and God provides tenfold over what you are willing to give up. My sis is in MX right now serving, and from her take, you just can't outgive the Guy. He'll take care of you down the road. Maybe even a E30 M3.

And for all the atheists, maybe this once we can avoid a debate over any religeous concept. Hopefully we can just all agree to disagree on the issue of religon and wish the guy safe travels through a stage of life.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

I appreciate the positive responses that I've received thus far. A lot of things have been going through my mind lately and I believe this is going to allow me to grow and mature a lot. Being away from my family and friends for two years will be a hard thing to do, but its worth it. It may seem odd to some that I would sell my E30 and give two years of my life to Christianity, but there is nothing here on this earth that is my own. My clothes, my education, my car, my money are all because of Him. Two years of service is the least I can do.

not really odd that you'd do that, just that you'd not pass your e30 on to a family member when
