    Speaker sizes?

What are the sizes of all the speakers in an 87 325is. My front L speaker is on the fritz so I might as well replace them all.

5 1/4 in the front. I think they are that size in the back too but I am not totally sure. I know that the vert's are all 5 1/4 around but my speakers suck so it might be different with the coupe/sedan.

Best Buy (yea not the best) has ours listed at about 2.75. I think you could go deeper in the front and in a sedan/coupe you could also go deeper in the back but in a vert. 2.75 or whatever the number is, is really all you get.

If you decide to use a coax speaker, tweeter protrusion is a big issue. Not over 1/4" would be good. Rear mounting depth is not too much of an issue.

Nope. Tweeters stick out too far to make it work. 2 way will generally work, but these just stick out too far.

Tom, did you "top mount"? I was ASSUMING he wanted to stay in the stock grilles. Depth is not usually an issue.
