well bellow freezing... cars having problems!

I was coming back from a hockey game last night and i noticed two things

My brake fluid light kept flickering on and off, then would stay on for a couple minutes and would turn off after.

My steering wheel vibrates when i turn it (the vibration stops once its "set") and i can also hear the vibration, it sounds like rapid clicks, depending on how fast i turn the wheel... and its worse when my car is cold.

    any ideas?

Could be the pump. I would flush the P/S lines and put in fresh dextron III atf.

You know what's funny? My car does that sometimes too, and it's a Z3 rack and a new pump (well, new to me) - its used. Only occurs at dead stops and are random times.

It's been fine, so oh well.
