Why was it your favorite car? I've never driven one. Are they as fun as e30's?

I had a blast in it! The steering feel is phenomenal, such great balance, the stock suspension is awesome. Stiff enough to have a very sporty feel while still maintaining great comfort. It is a very controllable car, when the back end would come out driving hard just give it some gas and counter steer and you were back on track. I never felt out of control in that car no matter how sideways i got. Of all the cars I've driven i was the most comfortable driving this car at its limit. The shifter was great, so tight and direct (no e30 5speed sloppyness).

When i wasn't driving hard and wanted to just cruise it was a delight. I got around 30mpg on the highway, it was comfortable and had a great factory stereo.

The alcantara interior was soo sexy! and the exterior was just as hot.

I cut out the muffler and second resonator and welded in straight pipes and the car the sound was incredible. I also took out the clutch delay valve and it improved the shifting from great to perfect. The only thing i would change about the car was put in an LSD and then it would be the ultimate car.

Wow...some of you guys have owned quite a few cars! I have only had two in my day...my first car was a 1988 4dr 325 S Eta...I drove the wheels off of that car and then got the car I currently have, my 1990 325i.

The "almost" bought are slightly more interesting. There was the delta blue Citroen SM that was "missing" on one cylinder - I can still hear the guy's thick French accent, "it is a spark plug, I can feel it!!". There was a very nice looking Merkur XR4Ti that drove like a Ford Escort and left me feeling slightly underwhelmed. I remember going back and forth on just buying it so I could look at the rear bi-spoiler in my driveway. And there was a really, really nice Alfa 164S that still haunts me to this day.
