i concur, how does anyone trust jiffy lube to do anything? i wouldn't even let them touch my escort, and it was a huge POS.

They use Pennzoil and CHEAP CHEAP filters.

No wonder the jiffylube 10 minutes away from me went out of buisness.

I don't trust the majority of garages though. My dad used to work for a dealership, and his superiors would charge people for parts they didnt even need.

                DIY ftw

yea but its sweet for the mechanics because they get to collect a whole bunch of parts that are still in good shape, and either use them on their own cars, or sell them...

oh and its not only dealerships that do that, alot of auto shops do.

No "in and out" oil places offer Amsoil. Therefore I do not go to any of them.

I have a friend that works at Jiffy Lube, and I've heard stories. I'll never go to a Jiffy Lube in my life.

reminds me of my dad last weekend.....he went to try to get an alignment done on his 4runner so he could work on the e30 instead and they wanted 700! for an alignment. He dropped the paper and left. They rip soccer moms off!

That video was hillarious! I am sure that it happens quite often. My local drive-thru oil change place stopped allowing customers to drive into the bay after they had that happen 3 times in the same week.

But I agree.. NEVER go to jiffy lube. You gotta watch those guys. This MORON filled my crankcase with windshield washer fluid! And by the time the guy realized his mistake he asked me if I wanted them to change the oil again. Uh.. like I'm gonna say, "Oh no.. that's OK." And you would think that I learned my lesson but a few months later I took the company vehicle to Jiffy Lube because I was short on time and the boss was a real stickler about going over 3000 miles. And because I was too impatient to take the truck to a REAL auto shop, I went back to these guys who managed to get oil on everything except the inside of the engine.

So you would think that I learned my lesson after the SECOND trip.. but nooo.. I had to go there again to get the company vehicle serviced. This time it was due for an air filter replacement and a tire rotation.. and thats when they charged the company account but did not do the work. They opened the hood and popped off the hub caps and then the car sat there for about 20 minutes (I stood outside at watched from across the street as I ate lunch at taco bell) and then they closed the hood and replaced the hubcaps and parked the truck. I figured there was a problem with the account. And when I went to go see about the situation they told me that the work was done.

I know I will probably be stupid enough to go there again when my guard is down and I am feeling charitable enough to try them just one more time.
