Damm Steering Rack!! Looks like it Blew!!!

I satrted the ngine make the reverse shift started tu turn the da,, steering and started to make a hell of noise, checke dthe oil lverl and was almost empty, then I checke dthe floor and my damm steering rack dropped all the hydroline to the floor!! I'm so pissed of!!!..

wondering if the e36 steering rack will accept all the components of my e30 rack, since my stock rack is worn inside...any idea?

    Thanks

hmmm the power steering fluid ( assuming ATF ) come off the rack or the hose?

If your hose is leaking, everytime you turn your wheel, it'll squirt a horrible amount of ATF and the rack will start making grinding noises.

If that's the case it's a simple thing just swap the hoses.

Now if it's leaking off the rack......................... then maybe it's time for an e36 rack.... some ppl have done it.... and I believe it's a smaller turning radius....

Not a smaller turning radius, but less steering wheel turns from lock-to-lock, so quicker steering. I myself will probably be getting a euro manual rack for my car at some point.

certainly it doesn't care much, all what I buy is send to Miami Florida, I have a office outhere then they re-send me the piece, much cheapper than sneding the piece directly to me. Sounds werd right? lol
