Schmidt Moderlines 16x9?

I am thinking about getting Schimdt moderlines in 16x9 from tunershop ($214 a piece). I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these wheels in this size. Also, what offset should I be looking for? With this size will there be any rubbing issues? Any input is appreciated...thanks

I would run 215/40s and slam the shit out of your car. 60/60 drop with bekkers hats up front or Coilovers. I am sure what people at running, but I think it is around et15 with spacers in the front and rear.

et15 with spacers in the front only and I've been doing fine. Any spacer in the back would cause rubbing and would require fender rolling.

thanks alot...how do you like the GC's by the way? I am looking into these wheels and having trouble deciding which direction to go in regarding suspension.

GCs are great... I'm pretty sure there are some who would complain to daily drive on my spring rates (550f/650r), but I love it. However I had IE3/Bilsteins and they worked very well with the 16x9s as well.

You have good taste in wheels... I've always wanted to rock 16x9 moderlines.

I've thought about both those suspension setups. What do you think of the IE springs versus the eibachs or h&r's?

IE3s are the same spring rates as H&R Race.

H&R Sports and Eibachs are for those who just want a slightly lowered look but dont want to worry about losing their oilpan anytime soon. As far as handling improvement, I'd say it's minimal over stock.

get ET15 with a 5mm spacer in the front to clear the strut (and in some cases, the caliper)

Since aesthetically it would not be proper to run a wider track in the front, get a 5mm spacer for the rear too and just roll the fender a teeny weeny little bit.

I rolled my fenders just a teeny weeny little bit and I rub with no spacer under hard cornering still :(

I just did the IE3 w/Bilstein Sports on my 90 325is. It has the 16x8 Rotas with the 225 45 16. All 4 corners rolled. And I can tell you while I loved the stance, it rubbed the back on corners or on serious bumps. Wound up putting adding 15mm Spring Pad. Seems to be working now. :)

that's about how mine looked until i added another spring pad in the back....and I had H&R Race springs with stock wheels.
