Of turbo can u build a reliable turbo e30 if u build the engine and shit correctly?

Summer '85 E24 635csi Winter '88 E30 325iX, I lose 25% of my hp before I even turn the key.

sure, set it up to only put out 1psi.... you'll be totally fine.
