    Snow tires are the shit!

Just can't get over how damn effective they are. I feel so confident on the roads, going through shit I couldn't go through before. It really helped out with me and my driveway, 45 degree incline, all ice (too much shoveling for one day). Snow tires ftmfw!

    lol

Its times like this when I regret not taking the ES100s off of my car. Any snow at all and it's like driving on snowboards...

Put a couple of 50-75 lb. sandbags in your trunk, too. You'll be amazed at even how much better your car will do.

E30's do just fine in the snow, as long as they have the proper tires.

I haven't had a chance to grab some sand bags yet, but on my way home itonite, I stopped by the local army reserve parking lot. Its all just a big sheet of ice currently. The e30 had no problem at all! Its was as if the ice was not even there. That's with tires only on the rear too. I am just overly immpressed with the night and day difference.

I always figured that german cars should do well in the snow because I assume that germany gets above average snowfall, but then again, I've never been. Just me and my ignorance. But I definitly remember back when I had my civic, that thing just felt like the front end was too light to ever get any traction, and it never did. Slush really took a toll onthat car. This e30 just plows on through it all. I absolutely love it!

My car used to be like that too, last winter! So now, bottlecaps are dedicated winter wheels and new rims+tires coming in spring for all the other seasons.
I love passing trucks and suvs on the roads with confidence. (Maintaining a safe speed of course! Because we all know all vehicles brake the same on a slippery surface)

I had snow tires on mine last winter. But this year i have all seasons. The last snow we got i put my trunk tar back in and 2 sand bags in the trunk. It didn't do to bad with this setup and half burned off tires. But give it any gas over 1/3 throttle and it would spin.

An e30 has never once stranded me in the snow.

The SOP is snows at all four corners and weights in the trunk.

I would drive my E30 in the snow but I am way too lazy to mount up the Nokians.

I'll let my Subaru do all the winter duties instead. Way more fun with AWD + snow tires.

HELL YES. i just picked up some dunlop wintersport m3s last weekend, and man, what a different car. I was literally passing people, including the high-and-mighty suvs.

If I read correctly, you said you only had snows on the rear? Get some on the front, stat!! Thats dangerous!! Don't want you to r3v your car because of soft, lesser rated snows out back causing you to slide all over the place on dry roads...

If the guy r3vs because of that he deserves it. Its not a life or death situation to have snows just on the back.
