    shocks and spring help, Please!!!

I want to go with bilstein shocks and H&R springs. the springs i want are the sport that will lower by 1.3". do i need to go with a bilstein sport shock or can i use the cheaper bilstein shocks that are not sport to save some cash? just dont want to screw my ride. the car is a 1984 318i.
    thanks guys!
please send me replies, even if you know of some other cheaper shocks that have proven to work well with H&R sports. i am buying off ebay as i live in the boonies and am not lucky enough to have any decent auto supply stores nearby.
once again i appreciate any help!
    regards

    Don't go cheap

Youn need the billie sports. If your spending the money for bilsteins you must be looking for more than just making your sled look cool, I'm guessing you'll want better handling also? Basically there shorter shocks for the shorter springs you'll be using.

You may want to check with Patrick at BMA or Mike at Pure Motorsports for a better deal than ebay. better deal on both price and service.

The sports are shorter to accommodate the lower springs. You'll toast a set of HDs in no time because it'll be too low for them.

You might want to check out www.shox.com. I've had good luck with them.

People run HDs and H&Rs on E28s all the time and it doesn't hurt them at all... They don't even bottom out...
