for what kind of stuff? There's a few big boys in the online retail biz for bmw
Off the top of my head the bigger ones are:

bmp design - similar to bavauto
    turner - more performance goodies
bimmerworld - lots of performance stuff, some normal parts
korman - they have a ton of stuff, just worst website ever
    pelican - mostly replacement parts
    VMS - mostly racing stuff
BMA - has a decent webpage, but really the best way to get a price and availability on a part is to call or email patrick.

Race parts like AKG, Ireland Engineering, Treehouse have excellent products for purpose built cars.
Smaller e-shops that are popular like flying brick have some of it all, check out the various sponsors with banner ads atop the pages

your local chapter of the bmwcca should have a forum, in the northwest its:

or for you, the bmw car club of british columbia has a less popular forum here:

As for other e30 sites, the big ones on the other side of the pond are e30.de and e30zone.net (UK)

If you live closer to the East Coast then I suggest Fap99.com for all your regular maintenance parts.

For special order stuff I usually contact Patrick @ BMAParts.com by email or phone.

For the bigger stuff that costs a fortune new I contact Joe Funk (Funkmasta here on the forums) or through his website AutobahnSport.com. Also Rigmaster here on the forums usually has some good deals on the bigger parts pulled off cars.
