New to the R3V forums. Actually, I've been on Bimmerforums for a while, but there's so much negative input over there, I decided to check you guys out. Also, I'm in SoCal, so I thought I'd try to meet some more locals. So howdy! ;-)
New to R3V. Hello to all.

Hi....if your looking to avoid negative input you may be better off at Bimmerforums. Don't be afraid though, there are a ton of helpful people here, then there are those who......well should probably... quit forming there identity around there car and at least try to meet a girl. Just avoid the ones that have nothing better to do and you'll love it here. -
We're here to answer questions you have and give you tons of information you can't find easily on Bimmerforums. Also, there are people who care about their cars here and aren't afraid to flog them either, we're not fanboys.
Welcome to R3V, check the FAQ page, and use the search tool, and you'll be fine.Reminiscing...Comment

You are a LONG way from AOL buddy! :p
But thats the nature of any public forum whether over the computer or in person. Unfortunately in life there are jerks who get really snippy when you ask about something that you know nothing about even though they have forgotten that there was a time when they didn't know either.
I was in the best buy the other day when I bought an AM/FM transmitter for my MP3 player so that I could play it in the car over the stereo system. I asked the kid behind the counter as to what kind of range the device had (because there is some degree of distance between the front seat and the rear antenna) and he had a scowl on his face saying, "DUH! Its just a matter of physics! The closer you are the better the reception!" It took almost everything in me to avoid slapping the taste out of his mouth but I spoke to his manager instead.
So with any internet forum thats worth a darn, you are going to have to have some degree of thick skin.Comment
