well on my two failed attempts of getting a speedo i have some money hanging in limbo.

This is what my question is.
WTF is up with the Hood/trunk emblem, they are differnt art they?

And what ecu number is my 318is, Matt and i think there is only one ecu for the m42, true or false, thanks.

Yes, the hood emblem is flat and is the same for many models. The trunk emblem is slightly curved and I'm pretty sure is E30 specific.

Yea, the trunk roundels are e30 specific, but the hood ones arent. I have a collection of hood emblems from different cars,andmost are identical.

I dont have an M42, but since there where no different m42s, Id imagine the ecu is the same as everyone elses.

You can order them roundels from BMA. Roughly $12 each.

I am pretty sure they all have the same ECU.

Yes there is only one ecu for the e30 m42 but odviously its different on the e36 m42 so those are not interchangeable.

FYI, the E30 M42 ECU ends in -175 (bosch number). I can get the whole thing if you need it, but that's the only one I've seen on those cars.
