Dude, what are you complaining about??? That's nothing! You should see how many whiskey dents Jack Daniels has caused me to put into My E30.
Fit the rail on the bottom of the car behind the front wheel or in front of the rear wheel into the groove on the Jack....crank.
I've had this car 15 years and never had a problem with the jack?
Do you guys having problems have side skirts? Maybe that''s it?Leave a comment:

I run a full MTech II kit on a cabrio and never have any problem with the jack wobbling or hitting the skirts or fenders. Since there seems to be some confusion I'll spell it out. The stock jack locations are indicated by a couple tabs and a flat maybe a foot/foot and a half from the wheel well. These points are indicated by the orange circles in this link http://r3vlimited.com/Tech/Jackpoints.jpg. Raise the jack until it's close to the height needed to grab the rail. place it up against the frame and continue to raise it until the toe and heel of the jack's foot are flat on the ground. Now simply run the screw up. It goes 40 or 50 rotations to top.Leave a comment:

It sounds like some of you don't know how to use it. There's specific places that it is to be used - otherwise you will do damage. I used it today in fact - easy and straight fotward. Granted, i wouldnt get under the car using just 1 stock jack - but that's not what it's for.Leave a comment:

Stock jacks should ONLY be used in emergency situations... They are so unstable it's scary. Granted, I've never seen a BMW jack fail, but I was helping a friend change a tire on his Chevy Crapalier once and his jack literally folded up and dropped the car on the ground.Leave a comment:

Ours are way better than MBs which decided to bend on me when I was lifting my brother's MB. It just started folding in the middle
. Made by Bilstein too.

I hate the factory jack. It's caused me to put two huge dents in my old E30.Leave a comment:

Mine have worked fine. They use the same damn jack since the 70s.... I am sure BMW would have re engineered it if it didn't work well...Leave a comment:

Put more angle on it.
That said, I don't really trust it unless I have nothing else.Leave a comment:
