I just spent 1.5 hours working just one problem for my Machine design class. We had to spec the diameter of a steel shaft that had a Chain sprocket, and 2 v belts on it all delivering with HP being transmitted threw them. I HATE THESE problems, it would be better if I actualy new what I wad doing but the instructor spent ruffly 30 mins covering the topic and one example problem, plus the book does a horrrible job at explaining. Well any ways if Your taking engineering and have to do any Machine design you'll enjoy these problems.

Gotta love that stuff. What year are you, junior? I just got my B.S. in Mech. Engineering in December. If it's the class I'm thinking of (Machine Design Elements), I didn't learn a damn thing in there...I still don't really know what the class was about.-Brandon

And we just got another shaft desing problem tonight, at least it only has two drive a chain sprocket which drives another sprocket. Our school trys to give us a little from every field(nice to have but so much crap to learn). Now in our Statitics class The teached has beet the subjet to death, which I like as I can some forces and moments in my sleep85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker
