    Wow.. It's been a while!

Well I took a break from the E30 search for a while and hence the vacation from the forum. This is partially because I found my new ride back in November :D Ended up picking up a '99 Audi A6 Avant in beautiful condition with nice mileage on it for a great price. She's been so much fun to drive, not to mention a pleasure to handle in this wonderful snowy weather we've been receiving lately.

Anyway, it's getting close to event season and I wanted to get back in the groove to see if anyone would allow an Audi nut into the E30 ring for some fun :p

Kidding. My old room mate has an A6 4.2 and it is a wonderful car. But it's nothing like an e30, it's a boat.

word - it certainly is a boat compared to the light E30, but man does it rock in the snow. :)

The only Audi in the A6 range that I've ever really driven was an RS6...didn't feel boaty at all.

Welcome back! Post some pics of your old car if you have them, your sig shows e36 but you had an e30 ?

My daily is an a4, I actually autoxed it also and it didn't do too bad with the s-line package and 235 sport maxx tires lol.

Haha thanks - I have to confess, my sig is a collage of the Turner Bimmer :)

Believe it or not I was VERY close to buying an E30, passed, almost bought a different one, passed, paused, and finally fell in love with the Avant. I'm still on the hunt for an E30 as a project now that I've got wheels to get around in. I was kind of worried about getting into an E30 and having it turn into a project instead of a daily driver ya know?

How was your A4 at the Autocross? Is it quattro?

Chris, yes its a quattro and I only autoxed it a few times last year but here are the results in GS, it's got a little stiffer and lower suspension than a base a4 but it's not a stick shift, its got paddles on the steering wheel, like a 6speed auto actually. Lol didn't see a 325i in there, I wonder if the owner is on here....
