    Thought it was an e30...

I was coming up on this car from a good distance - and saw the tail lights, I thought it was an e30 with some "kit" on it. LOL! Then I saw it was one of these!!

Wow, I'm surprised you saw one on the road. I thought they'd all burned to the ground. ;)

Those tails look exactly like early tails with indents down the middles... crazy.

haha. did you ever see the top gear bit about maserati? Clarkson tells about how much he loved maserati as a kid and the racing history. He then goes on to tell about how many times the company changed hands in the past. The end of his little bit shows a biturbo getting smashed by a crane, and clarkson proclaiming that it was one of the worst automobiles ever produced.

The tails on some late 80's mercs' look the same as an e30's. I always get them confused.

I remember reading somewhere (can't remember where) a comparison test in Car & Driver that had the 325es and the Maserati Biturbo pitted against each other, and the Maserati won because it had more "soul" and a better interior. Funny how things turn out.

You might be thinking of I think Road and Track, and the BMW won. They said it handled better, felt better, and had much better build quality. I LOVE Maseratis, esp. Biturbos, but I don't know about owning one...
