    Thoughts about $6850 asking price.

Noob to the forum. Yell at me if this is the wrong place to ask. But it didn't feel right posting this in the Cars for Sale/Wanted.

There's a 325I with 127k on it for sale in the Portland OR area, selling for $6850. I'm Thinking about offering $5500 for it if it's still around in a week or so.

Here's what the seller is saying about it.

"It is in excellent condition, runs and drives great. It has bilstein sports with adjustable coilovers. Front brakes have 315mm big brake kit with 4000 miles maybe. Wheels are borbet type T 16" with toyo proxy 4 brand new. Interior and exterior is in great condition this is an enthusiust car. It has short shift kit front and rear strut bars. Limited slip differential 3.73. Bought the car in arizona 100% stock. Have had it for 4-5yrs. Just did new timing belt water pump, thermostat valve cover adjusted valves etc. Fluids are all redline brake fluid is ate super blue. Has new driveline guibo trans seals.Front control arms. Poly front control arm bushings. New injectors high flow fuel pump. 2.5" exhaust ceramic coated . All hoses are good. Has factory Mtech spoiler and side skirts. Has euro head lights and grills. Real HID lights with ballist and ignitors.Tan leather."

Has anyone in the Portland area seen this car or know anything about it? And do you think it's worth the asking price?

    Thank you,

Sounds like a nice car, I have never seen it, but if the car is really that clean, 6850 really isn't unreasonable at all.

I'd say $5500-6000 is a fair price for the car if it's as described (it's hard to tell from such small photos). How's the interior? One thing to take into consideration is that, at least from what I've noticed, nicely modded E30's don't pop up for sale all that often in the PNW.

Wish I had better pictures of it. And he didn't post any interior shots on Craigslist. I sent him an email but haven't heard back yet.

I doubt he'll bit on 5500 unless he is hard up for cash. 6000 maybe. I havent ever seen this one either, although I did see the ad for it

I saw it on craigslist today. It looks nice, but I see nice unmodded ones around PDX in the $1500-$2500 range all the time. Guess I figure I could build it my way for that kind of money, but thats just me. Looks nice though.

I see you have an A4, I have one too! Love that car. Mines a '98 30v with a pes g1 supercharger on it. The poor man's s4 :D

Nice e30s in the PNW don't come up for sale that often, and usually have a premium on them. That being said, $6850 is too much for that car. Unless there's an M/S5x under the hood, I'd have a hard time paying over $5k for an e30.
Cosmetically, it better be in IMACULATE condition for his asking price.

Defekt - I have a 99 A4, regretfully it's stock, wish I had a poor mans S4. My wife is going to be driving it once I find an E30 I like. Just need to find the stock 325s in the $1500-2500 range your talking about :D

It does have a lot of aftermarket work so check and see who did it and try and get more info on that. To me thats a good price if the car is really clean.

Personally I'd offer the guy $4500 unless I really knew the car and the original owner.
