    A tad bit confused ...

Were any of the E30's released with the "Euro" bumpers here? Because I'm browsing through Autotrader and find two E30's, both with Euro bumpers, and both in Georgia ....

none were officially sold in the U.S. hence the "euro" name they have.
but due to the excellent dollar value back in the day, there were alot of "grey market car" that were bought here, converted, then shipped to the U.S.
maybe there are alot in Georgia due to the military base????

You mean the "diving board" type? Or is there a different kind of chrome bumper?

euro bumpers are stamped steel, not aluminum.

Wait ... that's not what they had!

They weren't chrome at all! they were all plastic, where that chrome is, was just black plastic. I saw several more today while in another town with my buddies driving around. I saw a white cabriolet with plastic bumpers front and rear, and two other E30 coupes, both with all plastic bumpers!

I've been freaking out recently, seeing all these damn cars! everytime I see one, especially with these plastic bumpers, I just want one 20X's more!

I guess they're all what you guys call "grey market", I've seen 3 just today .... I think I might be able to buy one with European bumpers already intact!:)

I would simply refuse to drive one with diving boards ...

sounds like what you're seeing is the regular US facelift cars 89 and up. search for the bumper thread. you are confused.

Plastic bumpers are stock bumpers for everyone. The only thing that might make them euro is if the black trim on them is devoid of the sidemarkers.
