beetle body's and full frame kits are dirt cheep even here. basicly if you wanna make a race car, off road car, or any other car you can start with a bug frame and go from there.

i think kit cars are interesting, of only because they raise the bar in some categories. in this case, what you can fit a big v8, umm i think that is good ....right?

Hella sweet. But if you're going to put a V8 in a Beetle....put it in the backseat. My dad met a guy at the drags (way back when) with this setup. Cadillac V8 in the backseat, with the Beetle engine still in the trunk, and powering the supercharger for the V8. He did pretty well that day.
