    Ah, DAMMIT!

    Hey Guys,

As i was cleaning out the garage this weekend, a pole from one of the top racks fells and scratched my passenger door. Bummer. The paint is scratched deep enough that i would need to repaint the car to get rid of it. It's a big enough line it almost looks like someone keyed the car. Anyway, i wanted to see if anyone has a BLACK passenger door for a 1989 E30 325is that i could purchase.

I'd rather just change the damn door then have to pay to have the door repainted, and maybe even the whole car due to matching issues.

    This is for a Coupe..

Anyhow, please PM me or reply here if you have any ideas, or have a Passenger door in black i could purchase. Even if you know where i can look!

    Thanks moocho!

There should be plenty of places near you that will have what you need. I know there are a few good junk yards in Cali that you can call up to see if they have one.

I seriously doubt that you could find a used door that isn't scratched up or slightly dinged to some degree.

Maybe you could go to one of those companies that makes the decal lettering for trucks and get them to make you a set of flames or big fat stripe to cover the scratch.

        I wish...

So do you guys think it would look bad if i were to repaint just the door? As of right now, the paint is still in good condition

Just take it to a shop and have them fix it. It will cost you slightly more than a new (used) door from a yard.

It wouldn't look bad even though I am sure that it would look slightly different. You could get away with it if you had them paint the door AND the fender or the door and the quarter panel

LOL! Yeah.. but actually thats what the guy at the body shop told me when I had my front bumper and fender repaired after an accident. They were working on the fender but the prepped the fender and the door for painting to make it seem less "detectable".

it's called "blending" you shoot a little of the colour and the clear down the adjoining pannel
