100 is the fastest I ever went. 80 is comfortable, 90 makes me a little nervous, and 100 makes me want to slow down to 85. All stock.

My speedo doesnt work, but late one night returning from a fellow e30 owners house i reached about 120ish. (this is very rough, mr deagle was in teh other car)

i liked the feeling. very stable, wind was loud as hell, my hood was all the way out of the tracks and it was way late at night.

My speedo was at about 138 or so and I still had a lil ball juice left. Not that that stock, just lil things to add and no not an intake or a cone filter or w.e

speedo read 148. pretty stock, 272 cam, intake, JimC chip, exhaust. nice straight kansas roads are good for somethin i guess. would I do it again? prob not with this car. that car had fully rebuilt suspension, all new bushings, ball joints, end links, everything... current car has seen 130'ish a few times, but not for long periods oftimes.

Depending on the overall height of the tire and wheel combination, and how different it is from the o.e. 14-inch bottlecaps with 60 series tires you will get somewhat of an inaccurate reading. A tire/wheel diameter larger than o.e. specs will make the speedo read slower than you are actually going. A smaller size will read faster. So lets say that you get a very low profile tire, your speedo is going to make you think that you are going faster than you really are.

E30 speedo's have always been known to read about ~5mph different(even with stock tire size) and most of us have modified wheels/tires so that adds to the effect even more. not so much at daily driving speeds, but the discrepancy increases with speed...I did a few runs on the highway at 70-85 mph and used my GPS to track speed, seemed as if there was a 5-8mph difference, and I'm on the recommended tire size for the EuroWeaves. My shop was a BMW dealer way back in the day and they said people would come in and complain quite frequently about this and their fix was to move the needle over or somethin..

I am not one to condone this type of activity, only if your car is in top-notch mechanical shape and you will not harm ANYBODY repeat, anybody except yourself.
