    nevermind, took a look on sears.com and read the reviews. i guess craftsman doesnt really have any warranty on it and the average rating for both the aluminum jacks are 1-1.5 out of 5 stars. seems they both have seal problems, leaking after only a few uses.
    I don't know what people must be doing to their jacks, I've got the 2 ton craftsman Alu racing jack, had it for 3 years and banged the hell out of it at the track and back, never had an issue.

      i bought an aluminum low-profile jack from costco, and use it all the time without any problems. its freakin nice too. i love the "my buddy had one and it broke in 2months" comment. very typical.

        maybe it was just a handful of bad ones that left the factory. since no one takes the time to write reviews anyway unless something bad happens.
