    Dad's old 2002....

    I just found this pic.
It's a picture of a picture (Polaroid), so sorry about the quality.
My g/f and I were going through stuff in the garage, in preparation for moving, and we came across it and some receipts in a shoebox.

    Specs:
    11.5:1 CR pistons,
Block bored from 1960 to 2000, balanced & blueprinted
    Tii Head - ported/polished, flowtested
    Shrick 310 duration cam
    Twin 45mm weber sidedraft carbs
    Stahl headers,
    H&R springs
    Bilstein sports,
    Suspension techniques swaybars.

    That car was a rocketship.
My dad had a Porsche back then, and we had a brand new e30...but sometimes my mom would actually drive that car to work...

That sounds like it was good for ~140 to the wheels.... that's a lot for a little car like that!!!!!

I think it actually dyno'd at more than 140...can't remember.

I dunno when that pic was taken Mariano, maybe 1989? 1990???
He had that car LONG before he got our first e30, which was in 86, but he did a frame up restoration in '89, or 90, along with an engine refresh.

My dad was a pretty cool guy. He raced Motocross when he was my age, he had 2 GTO's when he was a kid, a 66 with the 389 (his first car) and a '70 Judge, he had a Camaro RS, and he had a Mustang GT, but I forget the years on those two. He also owned a Formula Ford car for a while, but driving it made him get motion sickness, so he had to sell it.

Then one of his buddies bought a 70 or 71 2002, brand new, and my dad took that for a spin and LOVED it. He's basically been a BMW guy ever since.

My mom and dad had a brand new blue e21 for their first car when they were married. Within the first month the local fire department ran into and over the parked e21 with the fire truck. It made for a good story to tell me when I first got me e28 and later the e30.
