Oh, well I have the traditional urethane, I forgot there is a new "soft" urethane. I still don't think it's worth it.

I've just been told that it's harsher on your diff b/c there is less give in your rear end that instead is transferred more directly to the gears in your diff. It's just what I've heard, but it seems to make sense..

do not put urethane tranny bushings on a DD. period.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

I have IE subframe and trailing arm bushings on my daily driver 85 325i. I love them. The only time they can make noise is when the car flexes pulling in to a driveway or something. [And that does not bother me at all]. I went with these over OEM since I get good prices on IE parts.

Man, you people are little girls! It's not a brand new car, who cares if it has stiff bushings?

I have the powerflex urethane bushings for my cabs and subframe. I have had no squeaking at all. I love the ride and the stiffness is much and the body roll went down a lot.

I have the poly engine/tranny mounts from AKG. I didn't see any option for hard or soft urethane, so I have no idea which type they sent me.

I have no idea why someone would say never use poly tranny mounts.
I love my mounts, and they weren't *that* much more than stock.
I drive a vert, so I wasn't worried about noise; there is slight vibration at low RPMs. My wife loves it, sounds/feels like it has a little muscle, the AKG guys laughed when they heard her opinion.

To be honest, they probably are harsher on the diff. But not in the sense of vibration wobblying it alll around...only in the sense of transferring more power down the driveline--which is typically a good thing. Otherwise we might as well not bore engines out, turbo, or engine swap or any bolt-on that claims to increase power.

I love it!!! Yesterday Megan was driving and I was giving her a hars time about how she never lets me deive anymore - we looked up and she jacked the wheel to the right to avoid the guard rail (Inside of the Thurbers Ave curve north bound for Rhody guys) and she looks at me afterwards and laughs... then says "thats the rollover you can make go away"! We already have ST springs, BillySpotrs, ST sways, 15" wheels & new rubber suspension. I think my girlfriend should meet your wife! Mine says she finally feels comfortable enough in the e30 to start attending driving schools!

                  Soft urethane it is....

I DD on IEstg3 and Konis. I have IE urethane motor mounts which I love, added zero extra NVH. But when I put in the IE urethane tranny mounts, I swear it sounded like I had a damn race-prepped roaring V10 under the hood. It was obnoxious. Ended up putting some beefy OEM 5-series mounts in.
