e30 mirrors - your opinion

So what do you guys most like on an e30?

I dont like aftermarket mirrors at all... I think the stock mirrors go perfectly with the lines of the car and that all of the other small, weird, round mirrors look too out of place and funky.

Factory cup mirrors (vented) on an M3 or narrowbody E30, IMO

I would suggest that the flat black should only go on a black car so that it does not have the "dipped in paint" look. I like the flat black on red (ahem.. brillantrot) cars as well.

I prefer the stock flat black mirrors, especially on shadowlined cars. I think it makes them less conspicuous. I have nothing against painted mirrors.

I seemed to have gotten alot of response from my statement. After thinking about it a little bit more, I think that flat black mirrors would look good on a black car with shadowlined trim, like Jscotty,

Fred, I dont know why yours didn't come with body-colored mirrors. Maybe it was the basest base model 325i?

Yeah, my 325i was optioned to the hilt with 6 button OBC, regular rearview mirror, and non premium sound with the factory fader. Luxuriously trimmed in vinyl too. :(

I need pics to really know what all these mirrors look like. I like black standard mirrors but all these other choices mentioned got me curious.

Stock are fine. The black ones are fine on a black car but they are not clear coated...

Edit: E36 M3 ones (or their look alikes) are UGLY.
