People of NC we have an emergency

we have always had to have them. I just don't run one. Yes occasionally the cops that have nothing better to do will pull you over but you tell them you don't have a front plate bracket and that you ordered one and when it comes in you'll be sure to put the plate on. Not a big deal!

The problem is that they will be nazis about it for the 1st few months just becasue it is a new law.

Thing I wonder is, how are they going to start enforcing it? Are you going to be required to get new license plates? Are they going to send you a duplicate of your current plate? What happens?

They plan on replacing all license plates in the near future anyway (starting with the oldest first)... and they might have red lettering instead of blue :(

Otherwise, Im sure they will just issue everyone another plate.

Unless what they do is once you need new plates you get 2 of them, if that is the case there will still be a lot of cars on the road for a few years that only have 1 plate. So my guess if thats what happens no one will get pulled for not having one.

In MN we are required to have two plates, I have never had both of them, and no cop has ever said anything to me about it. From what I hear its like a $15 ticket here if you actually get one. I always just planned on acting stupid like "o rly? I swear it was there before..." lol

but think if you wanted to not run one all youd have to do is move here, but think if that option was no longer available...
