    Is 4 bottlebaps with decent tires for $150 good

    I have an 84 sitting on bricks and I need some wheels for it. Is 4 bottlecaps with decent tires on it a good deal? Just to confirm, the general consensus is that basketweaves look better than bottlecaps, correct?

    I need to move the 84 around sometimes and not have any wheels for it makes it a pain, needless to say.

    How clean are the wheels? What tires are they and how much tread is left? If they are good tires then it should be worth it. And yes, basketweaves do look better than caps.

      wheels are in good shape, minor rash action, tires are 195/65. I definitely think the BW are nicer than the bottlecaps. I guess I was wondering how many people out there think the opposite and whether there is any application in which they would actually look better than BW..

        I usually see bottlecaps for $100, but that's with no or beat rubber. So depending on whether the rubber is worth $50 then it seems more than fair.

          cool. I've been looking around for about a month and only find 1 or two but never a set of four. I would rather BWs but I am tired of the car sitting on rocks...

            e30devo is selling a set of basketweaves with good tires.
            I've seen them in person. We're down in SoCal but if you're looking for BW, then PM him and you'll do better for not much more money.

                i have a set of bottlecaps with tires for 50$, but shipping would make it not worth your time
