Gun laws are pretty easy in AZ. Unless you're an ex-con or too young, you shouldn't have any problems.

I got my CPL (concealed pistol license) here in Seattle on my 21st B-day (well, applied for it, anyway--it took, i think 60 days to go through). I had to "take a number" to pay a speeding ticket, and the firearms office was right across the hall, so I did it while I waited.

Just as necessary as a CPL is a membership to the NRA. They will pay big-money lawyers on your behalf for any kind of legal proceeding having to do with your legal possession of a firearm. Cheap insurance for ~$30/year.

Oh, and carlo: make sure that you pay real close attention to your cellphone bill. Mine got stolen about a year ago and the fuckin' G's opened up another line on my account! Initially, I had to pay the charges to keep the service turned on. I got the money back in the end, but it was a major PITA.
